Airbnb today revealed the villas, cabins and beach houses where you can holiday for under a tenner per night this year. Whilst January is often the month when cheap flight deals are being snapped up by Brits battling with post-Christmas blues, the Airbnb platform is on hand to help travellers discover hidden gems around the world throughout the year.
Whether travelling in a group, a couple or going solo, there are homes on the platform for less than £10pp, per night. For those looking to reconnect with friends, this villa in Thailand is perfect for larger groups, with room for nine people at just £9.60pp per night, while this South African deckhouse caters for 10, at £8.20pp per night.
Closer to home, travellers can get off the grid in homes on Airbnb across Europe and Scandinavia. This lakeside cabin in Finland sleeps seven, for £9.30pp per night, while this house in the south of France sleeps 12 and is just £10.60pp per night.
The price is not the only draw, travellers can make their entire holiday even cheaper by using the platform’s filters to find homes with specific amenities, such as a pool or washer and dryer.
