Tax Event with PwC in Prague
Airbnb regularly organises host meetups to provide information about the latest developments on the topic of short term rentals, and to give hosts the chance to exchange ideas with one another.
On Tuesday 26th March Airbnb held an event for hosts to hear from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) about their tax responsibilities. More than 80 hosts attended the event that took place in the Opero in Prague.
Two experts from PwC guided the host community through various tax topics and answered their questions.
Hosts can find a free tax guide by PwC (available in Czech and English) that covers general tax information in the Czech Republic online on the Airbnb Responsible Hosting pages. In addition to such hosted events, Airbnb regularly informs all guests and hosts about local laws and tax rules. For example, with annual email reminders, the company informs hosts on their income tax liability.
